Meet The Lithgow Veterinary Team
Dr Michelle Monaghan
BVSc (Hons)
Michelle graduated from the University of Queensland in 1998 where she was an avid horse rider. Michelle came to work at Lithgow Vet Hospital for two years as a new graduate. Michelle then worked and travelled overseas and then spent some time in the Hawkesbury and Castle Hill, before returning to Lithgow in 2005 and later purchasing the practice in 2007. Since then Lithgow Veterinary Hospital has become a Small Animal Clinic that sees Dogs and Cats.
Michelle and her menagerie live at Lowther on 220 acres and Michelle these days keeps horses, of which Arabian’s are her favourite as well as sheep and cattle. Her favourite dog breeds are boxers and labradoodles and as far as cats goes she has a huge soft spot for Burmese cats. In the clinic she is known for seeing the ‘spicy cats’ and loves making anxious pets feel safer and less stressful during their visits.

Chloe Hile
Business Manager
Chloe is our part time bookkeeper and business manager. She was born and bred in Hampton but now resides in sunny Portland with her groodle Andy. She also loves getting out in the outdoors and line dancing.

Erin Denver-Stevenson
Veterinary Nurse (Certificate IV Veterinary Nursing, Diploma of Veterinary Nursing (General Practice), RVN)
Erin spent her childhood in the Blue Mountains before moving over the hill to high school in Lithgow. She joined us here in 2009, working part-time while she studied for her Certificate in Veterinary Nursing. She became fully qualified in 2011 and now works at the hospital full-time.
She has a special interest in Equine health, specifically Podiatry and Metabolic diseases, though she likes to try her hand at a bit of everything.
Erin owns a Quarter Horse x Paint mare, ‘Lexi’, that she has had since a baby. Having broken her in herself, she now enjoys training and competing in Dressage with her. She also likes to draw and write in her spare time.
Erin has just finished her Diploma in Veterinary Nursing - General Practice and also enjoys drawing portraits of people’s pets.

Angelique Richardson
Receptionist
Ange is the newest addition to the Lithgow Vets family. She's excited to be our receptionist as she loves working with people who have a love for pets just like she does, and she has found working here to be incredibly rewarding. She has lived all over, from the Blue Mountains, Canberra, London and now here in Lithgow. She says having the coolest four kids ever is her greatest achievement. One day she'd love to have the courage to skydive, travel Europe with her family, and stay up on a water ski for more than 10 seconds without face planting.
Ange has a beautiful German Shepherd name Rex. She also loves succulents, making candles and anything vanilla.
